Shenzhen Nanshan Overseas Chinese Town Central School Affiliated High School

The base of this case is long and narrow and high in the north and low in the south, with a 3.5% slope and a 10-meter height difference, making the landscape looking back to the south increasingly open. The design arranges each part of the school in an orderly manner from south to north: secondary school, public teaching part, administrative office, elementary school, gymnasium, cafeteria and apartments. Each part is relatively independent, and at the same time closely connected by various platforms and corridors of different elevations, following the functional zoning and the status quo of the base as much as possible: the design places the school at the southern end of the base, the middle school facing the road to the south, the library and the administrative office building in the middle, and the elementary school to the north (its position is right in the middle of the long direction of the base, so that the functional areas it can reach are within the radius of the elementary school students' activities, giving full play to the slope characteristics of the base). The base of the primary school is located in the middle of the long direction. The 2-story base of the secondary school and the 1-story base of the elementary school ensure that the building volume on the platform is limited to 3 stories, and the 0-meter elevation of the activity platform runs through all functional areas in the north-south direction and minimizes the building height of the school visually. The library and conference center area is relatively independent between the primary and secondary schools, and the 2-story height of the building does not affect the lighting of the classrooms on either side, while the roof provides more outdoor space as a platform for activities. The administrative office area is located directly above the library. The closed north-south side and open east-west side of the building provide users with a continuous east-west view of nature.
