Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center

Located in the geographical center of the Pearl River Delta Bay Area, the core part of the economic corridor of Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Shenzhen and the center of Guangdong Free Trade Zone, Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center is a major landmark project invested by Shenzhen Municipal Government and related to the future development of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, which is a bright pearl embedded in the top of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area and a major project of China's "Belt and Road" strategy. It is also a major project at the gateway of China's "One Belt, One Road" strategy. According to the three first-class standards of "first-class design, first-class construction, first-class operation", the design has overcome and solved many technical problems such as large-span steel structure, building fire protection, mechanical and electrical design, etc., and made excellent and effective efforts to uphold and realize the first-class design.

Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center is planned to cover a total area of about 1.48 million square meters, with a total indoor exhibition area of about 500,000 square meters, and will become the largest exhibition hall in the world after completion. The first phase of the project covers a total area of about 1.214 million square meters, with a total building area of 1.6 million square meters and an indoor exhibition area of about 400,000 square meters. The exhibition hall adopts a herringbone layout with a 1.75km-long central corridor connecting 2 registration halls, 1 reception hall and 19 exhibition halls, including 16 standard exhibition halls of 20,000㎡, 2 multi-functional exhibition halls of 20,000m2 and 1 mega exhibition hall of 50,000㎡, which is a mega exhibition complex integrating exhibition, conference, activities (events, entertainment), catering, shopping, office and services.

The supporting facilities around the exhibition hall include hotels, commercial, offices, apartments and transportation hubs, all of which are currently under simultaneous development and construction. The area is positioned as the world's leading innovative convention and exhibition complex, with a total project capacity of more than 3 million square meters, including a construction area of 1.6 million square meters of exhibition halls (Phase I) and 1.54 million square meters of comprehensive commercial facilities, which is a multi-functional complex of exhibition display, industrial headquarters, commercial center, international hotel, boutique apartments, ecological park and other complexes.

The convention and exhibition leisure belt configured along the main cultural facilities, in the form of a two-line composite park, plans urban green public open space and urban public supporting service functions in the same plot and maximizes the use of floor space, providing a solution for the highly intensive use of land in the city. Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center Recreation Zone is set on the east side of the Convention and Exhibition Center, running north-south along the whole Convention and Exhibition Center, with a length of about 1750m, occupying an area width of 42m, with 3 underground floors and 2 above ground floors, connecting the Convention and Exhibition with the city apartment, hotel, commercial, office and exhibition hall development plots in the east-west direction, and connecting the Sea Field and the western bay landscape zone in the north-south direction.

AUBE attempts to "stitch the city" with the park, to build a multi-dimensional carrier for diversified life from public activities, cross-discipline business implantation and ecosystem, so that the convention area can obtain a rich and diversified urban life outside of business and trade, to resolve the isolation of the traditional convention center in the city, and to let it extend outward and form a self-consistent circle with the urban public life. It is a self-consistent and self-contained component of public life.
