One Shenzhen Bay

This project neighbors the Shenzhen Bay Inner Lake Park, with an ocean-view. It is the first project that jumps into eyesight when you are in the southern flank of the Shenzhen Bay. It is a high-end urban complex integrating office, residence and commerce, and is a landmark in Houhai area. This project design aims at future and focuses on enriching the history and landform of this unique area. On the one side, there are rolling hills and a natural waving coastline in Shenzhen Bay. On the other side, there is orderly vigor in Houhai area. The architectural form together with its rich meanings is supposed to create a bridge to connect the two features of Shenzhen Bay and Houhai.

 

Although four towers of this project are different in function and volume, they are unified in design and facade. The geometric angles of these parts work in concert with podiums and even with lines of the whole project. Stick to the principle of avoiding blocking sea view, design of facade surpasses the ordinary architectural language of pure glass curtain walls, and uses orderly dense horizonal (or vertical) lines as the basic design language. High-quality glass curtain walls and metal components are main materials. Design also keeps with the changes in some part of plane volume. Thus, a simple and fashionable coastal building with diversified layers comes into being.

 

Design of every tower space utilizes the magnificent view of the base. The angles of the towers are also extended to the podiums for a centralized business space. One crucial two-sided commercial volume can stimulate an active commercial environment. The business functions are vertically extended up to three floors. Thanks to the multi-angle stepped structure of the podiums, commercial space enjoys a superior view of water landscape and balconies. The podiums of two-floor business on the south side of the project are equipped with large swimming pools. People can walk in the commercial center in the first and second floors. The overbridge on the second floor is built for linking the commerce in the south of the base with the project in the north and providing the public with space to enjoy the view in the east.
